We're Going to Disneyland!

The Disney Dancers have begun learning and rehearsing their Disney dances since September. In December, the group got together and videotaped their numbers. They sent the tape off to Disney World to be evaluated. All of their hard work paid off and they were accepted!

The Disney Dancvers are 31 Arts of the Dance Centre students who, based on their commitment, hard work and positive attitude, are able to participate in this first time experience. The students travel to Walt Disney World, Florida on May 25-29, 1999. The students have been working hard to fund-raise money for the cost of the trip.

At Disney World, the students participate in a Disney workshop and perform a show in the park as part of " Magic Music Days ". For the remainder of the trip, the students are free to enjoy the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, MGM and Wild Kingdom.

" The Disney class always has an air of excitment in it," said Miss Adele, the Disney class teacher and choreographer. "This change from their regular classes and the goal of dancing at Disney World contribute to the enthusiastic atmosphere. It has motivated many of the students to be very serious in their classes and has accelersted the process. I have enjoyed being a part of this process and watching the development of these special children."
